Your step-by-step guide to creating a smokey eye that’s totally foolproof
Step:1
Apply eyelid primer. Eyelid primer creates a smooth base for your eyeshadow. Just dab a thin layer onto your eyelids using your fingers before you start doing your eye makeup. Not only will the color go on more easily, but it will last longer and the colors you use will be more vibrant.[1]
You can find eyelid primer wherever beauty products are sold.
If you don’t have eyelid primer, you can use regular face primer instead.
step:2
To neutralize any shadows under your eyes, blend a creamy concealer with a thicker consistency compared to liquid, since it won’t settle into creases as much on top of your under-eye area.
step:3
To make your smokey eyes even more killer, get your hands on the eyeliner and line way. Don’t keep it subtle ‘cause a look as glamorous as this deserves a sharp wing or a perfect cat eye.
step:4
weep one of the dark shadows from this palette from your lash line to the crease of your eye. Then use a small, angled brush to apply the shadow along your lower lash line. The best part, which you should already know: Your smokey shade doesn’t have to be black.
step:5
Blend all the way up to your brow bone, and all the way from the outer corner to the inner corner of your eyelid. If you need to, you can apply more color while you’re doing this.If you don’t have a separate blending brush, use a cloth to wipe off all of color from your eyeshadow brush before you start blending, so you don’t transfer the colors.
step:6
Lastly, pick out the ideal mascara depending on how your natural eyelashes are. So, go for a lengthening mascara for short lashes, a curling mascara for straight lashes, and a volumizing one for skimpy lashes.
Finally, layer a sparkle shadow with your finger to give it that real party finish. It’s great for smoothing out the lid and giving that blend through the crease of the eye.
